Because of this error pop-up window, it is impossible to remove/add/change root authorities (Settings → Manage certificates → Authorities) in Chromium browser:

The problem is solved this way:

sudo mv  ~/.pki/nssdb/ ~/.pki/nssdb_old

or more radically:

sudo rm -r ~/.pki/nssdb/
